And then it was November...

hello my friends, how are you on this beautiful, blustery November? Genuinely.... how are you feeling? Take a moment to pause here. Take a deep breathe and even just ask yourself-- how do I feel right now.

I'll wait....

So often we are asked how we are doing and we don't actually answer it. Maybe you feel like the person asking doesn't really care or you don't really want to check in with yourself right now or you don't feel like you are in a safe space to be honest with yourself or the other person. All really valid things.

But checking in with yourself is really important. I was recently on the Sturdy Girl Podcast hosted by Jess Heiss where we chatted all thing Stress Management and Body Image. Jess asked me at one point, well what is the first step for stress management. It's a frequent question I get (understandably so) and my answer might not be what you think.

Honestly, when it comes to stress management, taking care of your body and showing up for yourself, the most important thing you can do is get to know yourself and your baseline better. This can be in terms of a Daily Check In, Journaling, Meditation or even a daily movement practice. It'll look different depending on the season you are in.

Guided Daily Check in

The practice of checking in and being honest with how you feel and what you need each day is extremely helpful because when you do feel overwhelmed, over stress and exhausted you can start to catch these patterns before they completely knock you on your ass. Because let's me real, stress is a part of life and if you have been here a while, you also know it's an important part of life.
